This weekend we managed to make a brief stop in the Peak District where this was taken, we were quite pressed for time but I did manage to get a few shots off, while it’s not the kind of thing I’d usually shoot I really liked the contrast of the moss on the stone wall. I took the title from the Movie ‘Get him to the Greek’. It’s good to get out of the city and for our next trip we’ll definitely allow more time.
The second photo I uploaded to this blog was called “Langkawi sunrise” and was taken within minutes of taking this one from the exact same location. The only difference with this is I decided to get the buffalo in the shot. As I said on Friday I’ve got the week off work, and am hoping to get up early enough to get a sunrise, but not sure if that will happen. Hope everyone had a good weekend!
Back to the beaches of Langkawi today, we made this spot just in time for sunset, after trying to head out to the Island on the left of the picture. Just to the left of this shot and out of the frame is where the tide splits, we got about half-way (and knee deep) before realizing that the tide was coming in, so we headed back, I didn’t really like this shot to begin with, and still would of preferred to have something in the foreground, but the colours in the sky, and silhouettes of the islands will do for now.
I’m not sure what the deal is with this tree, all I know is that it was sitting in Whitehall gardens (between Westminster and Embankment tube station). It didn’t look in a good shape so I decided to get a quick shot and give it a dark twist in photoshop. It’s almost Friday, and it’s been a long and demanding week. I need a beer!
Another shot from my trip to Malaysia. This one was taken at the bird park in Langkawi, as with most touristy attractions the park was packed, making it hard to get as many decent shots as I would of liked. We did however take a stroll through the almost deserted kiddies section, and this is where I came across this guy, obviously not used to the attention he ran over as soon as he heard people approaching.
